How to get to Mazatlan’s Golden Zone?
Getting to Mazatlan’s Golden Zone is super easy! First of all, it’s worth mentioning that it’s not located near downtown or the Mazatlan International Airport, so you’ll have to take a cab, bus, or car to get there.
The Golden Zone is located only 8 kilometers north of downtown Mazatlan, which could translate to a half hour from downtown. Now, there are several options to make your trip to this area easy, comfortable, and inexpensive.
Use Mazatlan’s public transportation.
One of the most impressive things about Mazatlan is that they have several public transportation options throughout the city, so a viable option to get to the Golden Zone is to make use of a bus.
All you have to do is take a TAP bus, which offers routes from the Airport to the Mazatlan Bus Station for only 80 Mexican pesos (4 USD).
Then, you must take the bus that specifies the Sábalos-Cocos Alemán route, which will take you directly to the Golden Zone of Mazatlán.
Hire a Taxi or Uber service.
Another option that may be more practical, but with an extra cost, is to hire a private driver service such as Uber or Didi, or a conventional cab. In the case of cabs, you can find them outside the airport.
Any of these services will take you to the Golden Zone without any problem, but the transfer can be quite expensive. The standard fare is between 180 (9 USD) and 300 Mexican pesos (15 USD).
